WHEN: To construct the Purple Line Project, the trail will close on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, for four to five years between Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda and Talbot Avenue in Silver Spring.
Explanation of Work
• Upon issuance of all necessary approvals, construction and tree clearing will commence for the Purple Line project along the Georgetown Branch Interim Trail.
• Construction activity will occur throughout the length of the existing Georgetown Branch Trail. To ensure safety for trail users, the trail must be closed. Montgomery County Department of Transportation has established an alternate trail route for use during construction.
• Work may occur seven days a week.
